About Us

Our Story

We’re a small and caring church

Carversville United Church of Christ is a small congregation that strives to know God’s will for us in a complicated world. We know each other and care about each other. And we care about those beyond our church family, practicing compassion towards our next-door neighbors and our neighbors around the world who face challenges in their lives.

With Diverse Stories

We come from a variety of religious traditions and some of us have no religious background at all. Regardless of age, we recognize that spiritual nurture is important to our life journeys. As we share and respond to each other’s spiritual needs, each of us grows in our own way as well. Wherever you are on life’s journey, Carversville United Church of Christ is a safe place to explore how God is meaningful in your life.

And Diverse Interests

We encourage people to use their talents in ways that are meaningful to them. When people are interested in launching an activity or ministry, we encourage and help them to achieve it.

Sharing a Common Commitment

At Carversville United Church of Christ we meet God through worship, prayer, study, fellowship and service. All these lead us to practice Jesus’ commandment, “Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength; and your neighbor as yourself.”

We know each other and care about each other.

Become Involved

Regardless of where you on life’s journey, we welcome you here at Carversville United Church of Christ. We gather each Sunday to pray, sing and explore God’s word.

We honor the traditions of the church, while at the same time recognizing that all of us come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. We explore the teachings of Jesus in an interpretive way, providing historical and cultural context to better understand what these words mean to us in this modern age.
