Pastor Fogal Ordained
Posted on: Jun 3, 2021
Pastor Bob Fogal had a memorable month of May, and as a result, his Pastor’s Pen took a vacation!
On Sunday, May 23, Bob added another title to his name–Reverend–when he was ordained as a minister of the United Church of Christ and installed as our called pastor at a special worship service.
An abundance of music resounded through the sanctuary with guest organist Richard Spotts making the organ sing, and soloist Ed Myers added a special touch with his beautiful baritone voice. The service was led by ministers from the Pennsylvania Southeast Conference with Rev. Bill Worley, the Conference Minister, delivering a wonderful sermon. Following the service, dinner spoiling refreshments were served in the social hall.
An ordination offering was received and is designated to benefit three hospitals in India who are dealing with the nation’s dire COVID-19 crisis. It you wish to contribute to this very worthwhile offering, please send your contribution to the church with “India Hospitals” noted on the memo line.
To commemorate this special event, the congregation presented Bob with new business cards reflecting his newly added title and a special hard case.
To all who were present and to all who contributed their time and talents to make Bob’s ordination a meaningful event, we say “Thank you!”
Congratulations, Rev. Dr. Robert Fogal. May your life be filled with God’s good gifts and abundant joy as you do God’s work at Carversville Church.
